It's been that long!?!?!?

Wow I can't believe it is Friday again! Don't get me wrong I'm soooooo OK with it! I just can't believe how time is flying these days! I have had my camera here at work all week meaning to download our fun pictures from this weekend. I am officially out of time if I want to get it posted before another weekend happens. Life has been better this week, I think all of the kids are on the mend. Cylie's daycare had to close for a few days due to all of the sick kids. Which I must say I feel responsible for. I wish the first Dr Matt had taken Cylie to had figured it out so we didn't take her in and expose all of those kids! Sorry Hailey and Kendall! So I have been having to take Cylie to my sister in laws house in Idaho Falls so she can watch her. One more reason I wish my Mom and my sister Lori were here! But I am lucky to have Jen she is always willing to help me out with the kids!

Michelle and I decided to hang out in Labor and Delivery last night for over 3 hours! I so wish I would of had the camera in my purse not sitting on my desk! We were our usually giggly selves which I am sure is why they sent us home. I think they figured since Michelle was in such good spirits then she must not be in "real" labor. JERKS! Oh well it was fun to hang out with my sister! I guess we will have to wait a little while longer for Cooper to get here! I am so excited! Even though Cy is only 8 months it feels like forever since I held a newborn! Michelle is scheduled for her C-Section on April 29. I guess if I HAVE to I can wait that long! LOL!

So back to last weekend and these fun pictures. Michelle and I went to the park on Saturday with Cylie, Bridger and Brook.Matt and Lacey met us a little later. It was fun. Cylie wasn't sure what to think since she was born in August and she was so little she didn't get to go out side much. Now that we occasionally get warm weather I am taking her out side more and more! On Sunday we went to the park for a "picnic" no I didn't make a great lunch, sorry it was Wendy's for all! LOL! Dad, Michelle, Les, Brook, my kids, Matt and I went. It was fun, a little windy but fun! The camera battery died on Saturday at the park so no pictures of this day oh well! Then after the park Michelle and I decided to play Martha Stewart and make Jam. I think it turned out good! We had a great system going Lacey got the tops off, then I washed them and cut off anything that might be yucky and Michelle mushed them up. It was a good time. Bridger and Brook played "drive through" at the kitchen window. We had it open (it has no screen) and they would come and place their order! Then Brook started to sing us a most beautiful song out on the deck! TOO FUNNY that girl is! Michelle snapped some photos with out Brook knowing! She tends to get embarrassed when she realizes she is being watched! We made so much jam! I am so excited! I picked a horrible time to start a diet, I have yet to enjoy the FRUITS of our labor! Yeah I know I'm funny! All in all it was a FABULOUS weekend, and now look it is time to enjoy another one!

I have plans to head to Driggs to attend Jr. Miss GO KARLI! Karli was our babysitter in Driggs, in fact Bridger asked about her this morning, I haven't even mentioned about going up there! The kids just loved her, I was very sad to leave her behind! It will be fun to have a me and Lacey date. I will try to do something with only Bridger either on Sunday or on Saturday morning! The only problem with going all the way to Driggs is it makes for a long night and it takes time away from my Cylie bug and Bridger boy....so we will see, maybe Michelle will have Cooper and I can't go. Dear Reader I hope you have a great weekend full of fun memories!

Oh yeah PS on a side note my Boss is FABULOUS!!! For Administrative Professionals day this is what she got me! OK you can be jealous now!!! LOL!Ear Rings, Beautiful Flowers and some Pedicure stuff! YEAH GO ME!!!

My head is spinning!!!!!!

WOW doesn't even begin to explain the last week. It has been pure madness! First I had my whole dentist ordeal on Wednesday and Friday of last week. I mentioned Cylie was getting sick towards the end of the week! If I only knew how sick she would be! Matt took her to the Dr on Friday, they sent him home with a decongestant for her and said she was fine. So he believed them and took her to daycare so he could go finish a job. I picked her up after I was done at work and she looked horrible. She was so rattly when she would breath and her sides were pulling pretty hard, which means she was working VERY hard to breath. I took her home to give her the medicine the Dr gave her.....within seconds of her taking the medicine she was vomiting!!! A LOT!!! I thought wow that is weird so I waited a while and tried again, with the same outcome! BUGGER! So I bagged it gave her a breathing treatment and sent her off to bed.

Saturday morning I had to run to wal-mart for some last minute Easter dinner items so Michelle and I got up early to beat the rush! I brought the medicine with me to chat with the pharmacist. He looked at her and said they didn't give her anything but a decongestant??!??!!? OK first red flag, if the pharmacist is concerned then truly I am not over reacting and my kid really is sick! He said if she was my kid I would leave here now and go back to the doctor. So that is what I did. At this point it is 9:00 I am feeling pretty good time wise, we had a Easter egg hunt to attend but it wasn't until 11:00 I wasn't worried. It took no time at all to get us in because we were one of the first people to get there. The visit on the other hand lasted 2.5 hours!!!!!!! They did testing and x-rays and blood saturation levels and so on and so on. We finally had an answer three little letters RSV. I had no idea these three little letters strung together could cause so much trouble! My poor little girl's oxygen levels were only 86! In my 5 years of having Bridger with his asthma I have NEVER seen him dip below 90! I knew she was one sick little girl! Bridger has had pneumonia TWICE and he has never been that low! So they packed us up with more prescriptions and instructions. He said if I was a "normal" Mom he would have admitted her to the hospital! I guess it pays to not be normal uh! He felt comfortable with the fact that we have a nebulizer at home and I have nursed a sick little boy back to health numerous times before! So home we went to try and fight this out. Needless to say Cylie and I missed the first egg hunt! I was bummed I like watching my kids have fun with that. Anyway we spent Saturday at home trying to force drugs and breathing treatments. Cy couldn't keep the steroid down either, much like the cough syrup. I knew she needed it to calm her airways, I knew it was going to be a long night, sure enough it was!

Thankfully the kids slept in on Easter Morning, yes I even had to wake Bridger up! I could tell Cylie was not any better! Lacey and Bridger rummaged through there baskets and were so excited for the fun things they found. We found the eggs that silly bunny hid.
Cylie lasted a while then fell asleep. I took this time to hurry and get ready for the day and make my part of what I was bringing for Easter dinner at Dad's. It was a mad rush, I knew the doctor would take at least an hour and it was 11:15 by the time I got done with everything. Dinner was to be a 1:00. Off to the doctor we went. Her oxygen levels were at 87! Only one point higher. They gave her a shot of the steroid because she couldn't take the oral version and sent us on our way. Dinner at dad's was fun. We did another egg hunt for the kids since I missed the first one. We had our usual, ham and cheesy potatoes YUMMO! We hung out for awhile then headed home. Cylie seemed to be doing a little better, still not great! Sunday was another LONG night!

I took Monday off a) so I could take Cylie to the doctor again and b) I was sooooo tired I wasn't sure I would have been able to keep my eyes open! We headed to the Doctor just after 9:00 and spent the next two hours wondering what to do. Her oxygen levels were back down to 86! He felt it was time to put her on oxygen. I was ok with it until they brought the tank into the room. My eyes filled with tears, not for the reasons you may think. When I saw that machine it felt like someone opened my chest and ripped out my heart. Let me explain. The day my mom came home from the Dr with her oxygen tank she was so upset. I kept trying to tell her it was ok it was just for awhile, over and over I told her this. She tried to explain to me she wasn't upset about the oxygen it's self it was how it made her remember her dad when he had his. I tried to tell her just because grandpa had oxygen and didn't live without it again that she would not be like that. Had I listened to what she was really saying maybe I could have been more sympathetic. What she was trying to say was how it made her feel when she thought of the memories of her father on the oxygen. Seeing that dumb tank I lost it, every memory of her fighting to breath came rushing back to me. Then the guilt settled in, if I just would have been a better daughter and listened to what she was saying instead of trying to keep her mind off of it and rushing past her true feelings, maybe she could have felt better about it all. UGH! I felt horrible, but yet a good lesson to be learned, Kim shut your mouth and really listen, let them feel what they feel and just listen! Anyway back to Cylie, they gave her another oxygen test a few minutes after they hooked her up and it shot her levels up to 95! I was happy for that! So we left with this little baby and an oxygen tank bigger than she is. It is so sad to see her with the tubes. She finally slept better.
Tuesday I had to go work so it was up to Matt. I was a little nervous about this, I knew how hard it had been on Monday and Matt isn't always the most patient man. He did pretty good. Cylie's oxygen levels came up to 90 (they took off the oxygen for a while). She was doing better but still needed the oxygen. They said he didn't have to bring her back in until Thursday. She slept good and actually ate almost 6 oz of formula when I got home Tuesday night.

Wednesday Matt got to experience a day like I had on Monday. Cy was really fussy she only wanted to be held which would be fine if she would hold still but she doesn't it's like wrestling match! She was super fussy all day. I got home and Matt left to go work on his resume and fill out some job applications. I think he needed a breather! Poor guy! She didn't sleep great but not horrible.

Now for today Matt is home with her again. He took her to the Dr and of course the Dr that has been seeing us since Saturday, felt like he needed a day off HOW RUDE! So my poor husband got stuck seeing the Dr that on Friday of last week said Cy was fine. It didn't go well, Cylie is doing better and is on the up and up and should be able to get off the oxygen by the weekend. The doctor second guessed the other Dr that had helped us all weekend! SERIOUS! Matt wasn't happy at all! He had her listen really quick to Bridger because he of course woke up with a fever this morning. This lady charged us double what the Dr that saw us all weekend charged plus she charged Matt 30 bucks to listen to Bridger breath! CRAZY! So I guess we will try and get Bridger better and hope Cy doesn't get whatever he has.

As life goes on around us I wish I had more time for all of it. Michelle's baby tried to make an early entrance into the world last night, thankfully he wasn't successful! I felt bad she had to take Brook to the hospital with them for fear of her getting Cylie's bug. So they are all beat today! I hope little Cooper can wait another week or two so we can make sure this bug has run it's course through our family so I can see him when he comes. Then my best friend Becky let me know last night that her older sister Nancy has thyroid cancer. I fell to pieces again! Nancy was just like a big sister to me. She has taught me so many things and treated me no differently than her other sisters. I was so crushed! I HATE cancer! It is so horrible. Why does it seem to get the good ones? Her doctors say they got it in time and she will be fine, but it is still so scary. After her treatment she will have to be in isolation for 10 days. What torture, to have to be alone during one of the most loneliest times of your life. So I am asking you all dear readers please keep Michelle and her baby and Nancy in your prayers I would be forever grateful! I hope your Easter weekend was much more enjoyable!

SERIOUSLY!!!!!

Have you ever had one of those days when you just wonder what greater power did you piss off????? Well today is my day, and I must say to whom ever I have upset I do apologise I will not do whatever it was I did that made you mad EVER EVER EVER again! Last night was rough; my tooth next to the tooth that I had the root canal on was in some pain, upon further examination I found half of the original filling gone! Yep you read that right GONE! Oh great here we go again I think to myself. Plus Cylie just isn't feeling well, so she is cranky and coughs all night long, coughing to the point where I wonder if she is going to throw up on me! So needless to say it was not a very restful night!

This morning I get up and start getting ready for work. That is when the fun started! My hair dryer was dying, it would work then the air was cold, then it would work then it was cold. My hair takes long enough to dry with a functioning hair dryer so this took FOREVER! Then my beloved Chi (flat iron) decided to get a short in the cord, it has been trying to die for awhile now but it chose today to really be dead! Today was a busy day at work we had GA Luncheon and Tiffany is gone so it was up to me to get the morning stuff ready. I knew I was going to try and get into the dentist this morning to get my tooth taken care of so I thought I would leave for work early to get it all done! HAHAHAHA that is what I get for thinking! After the dryer malfunction and the slow painful death of my chi I knew getting there early wasn't going to happen. Finally ready for the day off I go only to hear the lovely sound of the low gas button going off! Great I have time for that, NOT! I get to Poky fill up the car and head into work, I rush and get all of my stuff ready. On my way to work the dentist office called me and said they could see me at 9:00. I got to their office and was just sick about it, being there again so soon I just wanted to cry all over again! This time I met the son dentist and he was also nice. They took x-rays and say yep your missing some of the filling AND there is a big cavity under where the old filling was! SERIOUSLY are ya kidding me! Thankfully we found it before it needed a root canal! UGH! So we went the rounds with the shots, again I had enough for a Clydesdale! The gas must have been on higher today I couldn't seem to finish one primary song before starting the next! I never thought of the silliness of this until now, me being in a "high" state singing primary songs! Maybe that is what pissed off the karma gods! LOL! An hour later I was done and it was time to go to this meeting. My mouth was so numb and my tongue and cheeks just felt so swollen! I couldn't open my mouth wide enough for the dentist, it is still stiff from Wednesday so he put this thing in to force my mouth open. I somehow forgot my pain pills at home so now all the shots have worn off I am in so much pain I want to crawl into a big dark hole....would any one like to join me? I can't promise my bad karma won't rub off you you so be careful before you answer that question! ON the bright side it is Easter weekend and I do have many wonderful things to be thankful for, I will just have to really look hard to find them again! Have a joyous Easter everyone!

THE VERDICT

So yesterday I went to the dentist, I am so not a fan! I do have to say this new dentist I went to was awesome. He is an older man, probably a little older than my dad. I am not sure about you but I have this thing when I am sick all I want is my dad. Yes even at 29 he is the first person I think of! Is that strange? Anyway this dentist gave off the dad vibe, LOVED IT! He was very kind, he made me feel comfortable, and made sure I understood what was going on and if I was in any pain he stopped to give me more drugs! So here is how it went down.....I got to their office at 3:50 filled out the paper work and waited about 5 minutes is all. Good sign! The hygienist came and got me, she was asking questions about what brought me in and all that. She took x-rays of the side that was hurting. Dr. Larsen (first off if I had known his name was Dr Larsen I NEVER would have stepped foot in his office, if you come across a Dr. Larsen in Blackfoot RUN like your life depends on it, because it is possible that it does!) came in, introduced himself and looked at the x-ray. He saw two little cavities. He wasn't sure why they would be causing so much pain but thought it was best to fill them and see if that fixed the problems. So we get started with the process, he looks at the tooth next to the one with the cavity and I hear him say OHHHHHH here's the problem. I start FREAKING out! WHAT DID HE FIND! He says he found a bigger cavity on the tooth behind the other teeth that they did the xray on. So the course changes and he starts with that tooth. He digs a bit then I hear another OOHHHH! Me freaking again!!! This is a very sick tooth he says, it's going to need a root canal! My ears start to ring, I start seeing blurry spots as the memories of the last root canal flood my brain, I start to cry! Yes in front of a man I don't know! Me crying, him saying what's wrong, are you in pain? Thinking to myself I say NO but my check book is going to be! I know this root canal is going to come with a price tag of around $1,500! I soooooo don't have that kind of money right now! Dr Larsen was very kind and concerned for me, I didn't have the heart to tell him why I was crying, so I just said I was nervous! So I now start to prep myself for the pain and the sound of the tools! I HATE HATE HATE the sound of dentist tools! He gives me some local pain meds to numb the area before the shot(s). I am numb and it is time to get started, 3 shots later he starts the drill, UGH again the sound! So I start to sing to myself as loud as I can sing inside my head JESUS WANTS ME FOR A SUNBEAM, A SUNBEAM TO SHINE FOR HIM EACH DAY! Then he hits a spot on my tooth that isn't numb OOOUUUUCCHH! Dr Larsen stops immediately! I get another shot! He waits a while then the drilling continues, as does the singing in my head, GIVE SAID THE LITTLE STREAM, GIVE O GIVE, GIVE O GIVE, oh wait one more spot that isn't numb! OOOOOOUUUCCCCCCCCHHHHHHHH! One more shot for me! After he waits a minute he says ok I have given you as much as I would give a Clydesdale. We laugh and continue, it was smooth sailing after that. I must say my face was numb until 9:30 last night! I was in the chair for a total of 1 hour and 30 minutes, and I still have two more visits before this ONE tooth is done, then we will move on to the others! UGH! So today I am sore my mouth won't open, I am starving, I can't take the pain medication with out eating first, I was very light headed this morning almost fainted twice all because I couldn't eat, it's raining, I didn't sleep well, (neither did Cylie I think she is going to end up in the Dr office again, I really should have been a Dr it would have saved us so much money! LOL!) my boss is in meetings in Boise so I couldn't call in sick! I know it sounds like I am whining, and darn it that is because I am! I am going to allow myself to feel like crud today, maybe it will be better tomorrow!

So dear reader I must ask, is it just me that HATES the dentist so much? If you do how do you pump yourself up enough to go?? Do you sing primary songs like me??? I would like to hear your secrets for my next appointments!

PRICELESS!!!!

1 Garbage bag from walmart.......20 cents

2 Large totes........$10.00

3 1/2 hours of time spent cleaning to hear this.........
I learned two things today mom. 1) Don't put stickers on the bed 2) You don't have to keep EVERYTHING!!!......PRICELESS!!!!
A couple weekends ago Lacey and Bridger went to their Aunt Jen's to stay the night, I thought to my self how perfect I will have a chance to De-Junk their rooms. When I was a stay at home mom I would go into Lacey and Bridger's room about once a month and take out all the crap that seems to accumulate that they think are "treasures" it is impossible to throw the "treasures" away with them home which is why I would do it when they were gone. When I got up Sunday morning and pulled some stuff out from under Lacey's bed, it just kept coming, so I pulled the mattress off the bed, the second picture is what I found JUST under the bed!!! I was getting hotter and hotter the longer it took me to shovel it all out. As my blood was boiling I thought to myself, "Kim what are you doing? How is this going to teach her ANYTHING?????" So I stopped with the mattress off the bed and all the junk in the middle of the floor! I went to Jen's to get Lacey because it was time to clean her room! She was horrified! I made her toss things she didn't need I made her go through her mountains of books that she is outgrowing and make three piles one pile of books for Bridger one pile that she has outgrown but thinks Cylie would like and one pile of the books she has outgrown but can't possible live without! We then did this with all of her toys as well! It was funny to hear her go through the toy box "Wow Mom I thought I lost this!" I would laugh and say "Well it is funny what you can find when you can SEE what is in the toy box!" I hope she will remember at least for a little while how good it feels to be in a clean room! She has spent so much more time in there since we cleaned it! She says it feels better to hang out in there now! After how long it took us in her room I didn't have the energy to tackle Bridger's room, so hopefully we can find a little time this weekend for it, with all the Easter festivities this weekend it might get pushed off another weekend!

I can't believe how fast time is going, last week was full of training for work and this week I am playing catch up. I have also been dealing with a tooth ache for a while now, thinking it would go away and not wanting to spend my little bit of money I have managed to save up to go see Lori this summer on the dentist! I have waited and hoped it would go away....alas it has not! UGH! I hate the dentist, I get all worked up over it. I can remember being a child waiting in the chair for the dentist, they put the gas on and left for what seemed like for ever! I remember having a small panic attack I think it was on for too long or it was too strong, then the pain of it all! UGH! Ever since then I have such anxiety when it comes to the dentist! But the pain is sooooo bad that I am afraid if I don't go it will cause a much bigger problem with infection and things like this! So my dear friends today is the day, I have all day long to sit and ponder and get worked up about going! Wish me luck!!!!!!!
