WOW again with life passing me by! I am hoping it will at least slow down a little. Here is a little of what we have been up too...
The weekend after Cooper was born Brookie came and spent some time playing with the kids. Bridger and Brook had a grand time. Their little imaginations ran wild! They played barbies on the tramp, they colored, they made a "car" and they had a bath. They are getting to that age where I am not sure it's really appropriate to have a bath together so I told them on two conditions they could 1) they had to wear swimsuits, which meant Brook had to wear one of Bridger's, she wasn't in love with the idea, but she gave in. 2) they had to let me wash their hair, she again wasn't in love with my idea, but REALLY wanted to take a bath so they both agreed! The car they made was so cute! They found a box and each colored on a side, Brook colored a picture of Cooper and her mom and dad and Bridger drew a picture of Cylie and me! It was funny to watch them decide who was driving. At one point they each went in opposite directions and crashed into the back of each other! TOO FUNNY! Here are some fun photos of the "car" and tub time.

Mothers day came and went. What can I say about mothers day? I used to Love it! I loved hanging out with my mom and sisters. We would search for the perfect gift and make her dinner. I loved it. Well as you can imagine I am not such a fan these days. Matt REALLY doesn't get the whole gift giving department. He never has, and most likely never will. So I just told him not to get me anything because I was going to buy myself work out shoes. Long story short he had to run to Wal-Mart first thing in the morning on Mothers day to get decon (for my little friend that surprised me in the MIDDLE of the night! EEEWWW!) and he came home with a LAME card and LAME flowers which I guess I should have been thankful for, but it was like rubbing salt in my already open wounds! I only had one crying melt down which I thought was an acceptable sad moment. I got some flowers together to take out to the cemetery and Michelle came and got me and off we went quietly. I needed some time alone with my sister to miss my mom! We got out there and noticed mom too had a visitor of the same species of my visitor, we had a good chuckle! We tried to clean off her head stone as best we could, we weren't really prepared to do so. After the cemetery we decided Mom would really want us to go get a soda and some yummy chocolate oh yeah and some ice cream! Mom would want us to get ice cream! LOL! We giggled and joked in our probably not so appropriate way we do when we try and deal with our pain! Us Barton's are really good at making a joke in inappropriate situations! Just ask the funeral director! The rest of the day was fine. We had a BBQ at my house with Les and Michelle's family and Dad surprised us by coming home early from Utah, he made it just in time for lunch. The kids made me some cute home made cards and the day was done with no casualties, which in my book is a successful day!

The 13th of May FINALLY arrived and so did Lori. I was so excited to have her home with us. It is always fun when we get to see her. We had a great time. Dad and us three went to dinner and a chick flick! Good ol dad! We made Michelle sit by him so if it got a little risky she would be the one mortified to be sitting by OUR DAD! We did a little bit of shopping and told dad what he could and couldn't wear together, you know he has to be "cool" now! I don't know what we were thinking his tight self wasn't about to BUY anything! While Lori was here we did some shopping and had Cooper's infant photos done by Leah and ate so much I think I gained 10 lbs! We hung out and watched Dancing with the Stars! It was so nice to see her. I wish I would of had more time off though! I did miss a lot while sitting here at work. But in a few weeks we get to go to Minnesota! I am soooooo excited to finally see where she lives and all her new friends! I am so happy to see my bestest GJO I miss her desperately while she is not with me! She was my right hand girl before they moved. I am so thankful my dad is such an amazing man and giving us this gift so my family gets to go. With the way our finical life is going there is just no way we could afford it. He truly does have a heart of gold! Lori left yesterday, I know she is happy to be back to her own family and routine,we sure do miss her when she goes, but we sure are glad when she takes the time and money to come see us!

So now here it is May 21. Matt's business in Jackson is going to close it's doors next week. It breaks my heart into pieces thinking of this. I remember when we first moved to Driggs, he and Alan put so many man hours into getting that business going. It was such a strong vibrant business until this last year. To watch my husband's dreams be demolished by the bad management of our Country's leaders makes me sick. I wish I could do more for Matt poor guy just can't catch a break these days! Memorial day weekend is here Matt and I have no plans. I just want to sit and hang out with my kids and think of all the things I have to be grateful for. Not sit and dwell on all of the many things we have lost. So to you all I wish you a happy Memorial day, may you remember all the great things you have!
